Product Description

Ceramic Filled Composite UHMW-PE Sheet
Product Description
The "Polyceramoplast™-α", "Polyceramoplast™-γ", and "Polyceramoplast™-β" grades are dry ceramic-containing composites based on UHMWPE with a molecular weight of approximately 9 million g/mol, specifically developed for conditions of high abrasive load. The material is used as a lining against wear and adhesion from bulk materials. Typical application points include receiving hoppers, chutes, and troughs. The difference in service life compared to base UHMWPE with a molecular weight of approximately 9 million g/mol (also known as PE9000) can reach up to ten times.
Thanks to their low coefficient of friction, high wear resistance, and hydrophobic surface, "Polyceramoplast™-α, γ, β" protect surfaces from abrasive and chemical wear, reduce the adhesion/freezing of wet and sticky products, accelerate material flow, and reduce cleaning time. High impact toughness and extremely high crack resistance ensure performance under impact and vibration, while chemical resistance allows the lining to be used in a wide range of media—from inert to aggressive. The operating temperature range is approximately -260°C to +80°C.
Lining for components subject to adhesion/freezing and abrasive load—buckets, hoppers, chutes, ditches. /buckets, hoppers, chutes, troughs.

Grade selection is tailored to the specific task—balancing "anti-adhesion ↔ wear resistance".
The line of ceramic-containing materials is graded based on relative wear resistance and anti-adhesion (using a 10-point scale between grades).
Wear Resistance: Polyceramoplast™-α — 5/10, α-M — 6/10, β — 8/10, γ — 10/10.
Anti-Adhesion: Polyceramoplast™-β — 4/10, γ — 5/10, α — 7/10, α-M — 10/10.
The higher the rating, the longer the service life in abrasive flows; for areas with critical adhesion issues, compositions with maximum anti-adhesion properties are selected.

Company Profile
Shenyang Gelar Composite Materials Co., Ltd. is a joint venture invested by the Europe-based Gelar group, utilizing advanced European technologies and specializing in the R&D, production and sales of high-performance engineering plastics. As the manufacturing base of the European enterprise in China, we produce high-quality products by advanced production equipment, strict quality control system and continuous R&D capability. Our "polyceramoplast™"product series are composite materials manufactured from ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) and modified additives through modification technologies. Among them, the polyceramoplast™ α,β,γ series—polyceramic composites—benefit from unique production technology and specialized equipment, significantly enhancing the modified properties of UHMWPE to achieve superior wear resistance and anti-adhesion performance.

Gelar aim to become a world-leading high-performance engineering plastics and composite materials manufacturer.

FAQ
Q1: Is it possible to calculate the wear-out period to somehow plan the timing for replacing the lining? Alpha 2030×1000×25 is used for lining dispensers and skips.

A1: This can only be determined through practical experience after the first period of operation. It's impossible to replicate similar conditions in a laboratory. Humidity, particle size distribution, and impurities may change, so it's better to have a small stock of plates on hand for replacement in the most heavily loaded areas.
